Armor

Armor in Jade Dynasty is made up of three main pieces:

• Body Armor: Gains more Defense when refined.
• Helmets: Gains more Spirit when refined.
• Boots: Gains more Health when refined.

There are a number of miscellaneous accessories:

• Necklaces: Sometimes drop from defeated monsters. Can give stats, most importantly +damage bonus.
• Rings: Sometimes drop from defeated monsters. Can give stats, such as resistances or damage reduction.
• Chi: Obtained from the new player Treasure Chest, or purchased from the Shady Dealer in Sunstream City. Gives Defense, Health, Spirit and Evasion.
• Charms: Must be crafted, give +1 to the corresponding Tome skill, along with some Health and Spirit.
• Trinkets: Given out as part of an event during December 2009. Can be upgraded through Crafting.
• Essence: Mainly obtained from the Elder of Arcaneness' apprentices in Jadeon. The beginner Treasure Chest also contains a free basic Essence. Special essence was awarded during an event in December 2009.
