Ground mounts in Jade Dynasty allow your character to move faster while riding them. All ground mounts require level 30 to use, and you can participate in combat while riding them.

Movement speed will vary from mount to mount. Be sure to get the fastest possible! Some of these mounts can have their speed increased from 6.0 to 6.1 via the Budding Kindleaf. Visit that page for more information.

Some mounts will even give your character extra attributes while riding them! These can include anything from extra Attack to Health, Spirit, and added Resistances.

Horse: A 30-day temporary mount rewarded to all characters created after the release of the Jade Dynasty: Ascension expansion on November 12th 2009. It is obtained by opening the Treasure Chest at level 30. Yanma Cloudtrot: Permanent Marketplace item, can be purchased for 15 Jaden.
Avalanche Ligera: Permanent Marketplace item, can be purchased for 20 Jaden. Albino Bull: Permanent Marketplace item, can be purchased for 15 Jaden.
Warty Jonkun: Released in Patch 33 on July 1st 2009. Now a permanent Marketplace item, can be purchased for 20 Jaden. Auspicon: Special promotional mount released in Patch 33 on July 1st 2009, but was removed in a later patch. It became available in the Bonus Shop when it was first opened in Patch 124 on January 11th.
Dragon Tortoise: Released in Patch 40 on July 15th 2009, as the first prize of the Dratoise Caldron mystery box. Was removed in a later patch, but added back to the Marketplace for a limited time for the Jade Dynasty: Ascension expansion in Patch 84 on November 12th 2009, and subsequently moved to the Bonus Shop when it was opened in Patch 124 on January 11th. Frost Wolf: Released in Patch 46 on July 30th 2009, as the first prize of the Wolf Totem mystery box. It was removed in a later patch, but added back to the Marketplace for a limited time for the Jade Dynasty: Ascension expansion in Patch 84 on November 12th 2009, and subsequently moved to the Bonus Shop when it was opened in Patch 124 on January 11th.
Mystic Serpent: Released in Patch 51 on August 13th 2009, but was later removed in Patch 69 on October 14th. However, this mount was later added to the Bonus Shop when it was first opened in Patch 124 on January 11th. Spirit Fox: Released in Patch 58 on September 9th 2009, as the first prize of the Etherfox Orb mystery box. It was later removed, but several of these mounts were given out as special event prizes. The Etherfox Orb was added back to the Marketplace for a limited time for the Jade Dynasty: Ascension expansion in Patch 84 on November 12th 2009, and subsequently moved to the Bonus Shop when it was opened in Patch 124 on January 11th.
Aeon Lion: A 30-day temporary version of this mount is found inside the Brocade Box that can be obtained through the Induction system. A permanent version is available in the Bonus Shop. Aohu the Dragon: This mount was released in Patch 103 on December 2, 2009, as the first prize of the Treasury Scroll mystery box. It is Jade Dynasty's only multi-person mount, and can carry up to 6 passengers. This item was removed from the Marketplace in patch 127 on January 20th, 2010. However, this item can still be obtained through the Bonus Shop.
Cloud Crane: Released in patch 117 on December 23rd, 2009, as the first prize of the Celeplume mystery box. This mount looks like a flying bird, but is unable to leave the ground. Kirin: Released in patch 124 on January 11th, 2010, as the first prize of the Midas' Fortune mystery box. This mount runs at a slightly faster-than-normal 6.1 speed, and also has a number of random attributes that will affect your character while you are riding it.
Royal Kingyo: Released in patch 128 on January 27th, 2010, as the first prize of the Neptune's Order mystery box, but is also available separately. This mount looks like a floating goldfish, moves at a slightly faster-than-normal 6.1 speed, and also has a number of random attributes that will affect your character while you are riding it.

These mounts are no longer available, though some players may still have some that they are willing to sell.

Hornclop: Released in Patch 33 on July 1st 2009, as the first prize of the Dragon Mirror mystery box. It was removed in a later patch, but several of these mounts were given out as special event prizes. The Dragon Mirror was added back to the Marketplace for a limited time for the Jade Dynasty: Ascension expansion in Patch 84 on November 12th 2009. Stygian Hunter: Released in Patch 65 on September 23rd 2009, as the first prize of the Soulfire Jasper mystery box. Was removed in Patch 72 on October 21st. This mount runs at a slightly faster-than-normal 6.1 speed.
Flora Messenger: Released in Patch 72 on October 21st 2009, as the first prize of the Royal Order mystery box. Was removed in Patch 100 on November 24th. The Royal Order was added back into the game for a limited time for Christmas in patch 117 on December 23rd. This mount runs at a slightly faster-than-normal 6.1 speed.
